Jon Campbell - Thank You

I would like to publically and personally thank Juror Jon Campbell for coming forward. This is by far not an easy decision to make, let alone actually come forward to do. For that, Jon Campbell, you will be looked at by many with high regard for stepping up and doing the right thing.

Here is the affidavit submited by Jon Campbell:

1. I served as a juror during the widmer trial that took place in warren county beginning march 23, 2009.

2. During the first day of jury deliberations, one of the jurors told the rest of us that she did a home experiment by air drying after showering and she told us that is took 12 minutes to dry.

3. On the second day of deliberation another juror indicated that she had done a home experiment air drying and actually laying on the bedroom carpet. She indicated that she was not even dry after 15 minutes.

4. Shortly after the second juror talked about the experiment, another juror said she tried to also air dry and that it took her eight minutes and, at the end of eight minutes, her body was substantially dry and her hair was kind of wet.

5. Sometime after the disclosure by the jurors of the outside experiments, another juror talked about bathing his child in a tub and lifting him out of the tub. He indicated that there was water on the tub's edge and on the floor and that he decided to return several hours later and everything was still wet.

6. Based on the experiments as the were related to the rest of us, I believe several of the jurors were influenced and it helped decide their vote.

7. After reflection, I felt I had a moral duty to come forth with this information.
