WLWT reporting that Judge Bronson announced this morning that he has granted Defendant Ryan Widmer's Motion for a New Trial based on the jury's consideration of juror experiments that at least some jurors swore  served as a basis for his conviction.

The Pulse Journal is reporting that Judge Bronson will hear oral arguments on Ryan's Motion for Acquittal, or in the alternative, a new trial.  This is the motion based on the allegations, supported by a sworn affidavit of one of the Widmer jurors, that the jury engaged in jury misconduct by considering their own "experiments" rather than the evidence presented at trial.
