Wow. I just listened to the 911 tape and I am stunned. I say this because I just watched the Dateline special on this case and saw that the jury found him guilty. I am stunned because after watching it on TV I assumed that the 911 tape would reveal Ryan was guilty based on the testimony shown on TV by Dateline (smoking gun if you will), however, that was not the case. Has anyone noticed on the 911 call that the tub was drained even though Sarah was still in it? Ryan tells the douche bag 911 operator that he had drained the tub and been trying to give her CPR. How long had she been in the tub without the water? If the tub was drained before the call then there was at least 7 minutes (the length of the call) before the parametics arrived for the water to dry from Sarah's skin and this explains why there wasn't water all over the floor. the juror that was inte [...]

I was unfamiliar with this case before watching the Dateline special on 9/18/09. After watching this, I felt a need to write and see if it was called to anyone's attention that the addition of salt of any type (Bath salts, epsom salts, sea salts - common additives in bath products) to bathwater can greatly reduce, perhaps even negate the effects of pruning to the skin.

Time to air dry.. possible

Has anyone considered the bathtub is on the top floor of their house? Heat rises making the upstairs potentially warmer than normal.

Where is the thermostat? Is there a heat vent that blows on or near the place she lay?

Was there a window open upstairs causing a large amount of air to move through the room?

I notice the tile in the bathroom is travertine, a porous limestone which quickly absorbs water and can appear dry in a minute, though it is wet inside [...]

Has anyone seen the Cincinnati.com article that the appeals court denied the prosecution's request for appeal? I am so excited, I'll probably have numerous typos, but who cares? Ryan finally gets a new trial. I can hardly sit still!!!! I am so happy for Ryan and his family and for Sarah who I know is watching over Ryan and has to be smiling now!!!!! This is wonderful news. Now for a speedy trial and more important, a fair one. This is fantastic!!!!!!

I just got word that we are NOT allowed to send Ryan envelopes at the new facilty! So we don't need to purchase and send him the special envelopes like we have in the past.

As previously stated in earlier blogs - he didn't get to bring his belongings so he has asked that everyone include your address on the letter itself.

What the hell? I was just watching the news and the Prosecutor was stating that the appeals court had already indicated that they would not grant Ryan a new trail... Who is she to go to the Appeals court and speak with them about this? This is done through Breifs..not her personal contact. If I am wrong..Please someone correct me. Misconduct written all over this Witch!

WLWT reporting that Judge Bronson announced this morning that he has granted Defendant Ryan Widmer's Motion for a New Trial based on the jury's consideration of juror experiments that at least some jurors swore served as a basis for his conviction.

I'm so excited, the paper is reporting that both sides think that Ryan will get a new trial! I mean they think it's likey! That means all the work we have done through this website has not been in vain. People can come together as strangers and work through something this terrible.
